Solace Foundation is a non-profit making entity incorporated under the single window registration at the Attorney General’s office, Republic of the Gambia. Solace Foundation was founded by Dr. Lamin Jaiteh & Dr. Fatoumatta Jitteh. Both are medical doctors passionate about contributing to the provision of care to cancer patients in The Gambia.
Solace Foundation Cancer Center will be a charitable venture that will have a self sustaining operational model that will aim at provision of oncological services to the population living in Gambia and beyond.

The organization is composed of Health professional passionate about ensuring oncology needs are adequately meet and on time. The team is enriched with non-medical personal from private sectors and civil societies. We believe our diversity augments our perspective toward existing health challenges and provides a novel and unique approach to resolving them.
Solace Foundation was born out of the vision to tackle the growing burden of Non-Communicable Diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiovascular Diseases and Cancer. With the project of establishing a dedicated oncology cancer that would enable effective cancer management for all patients through investment in an all-inclusive cancer treatment center for clinically confirmed cancer patients.
Our focus will span from outpatient clinics for basic screening, diagnosis and follow up of patients to comprehensive cancer centers with a full range of treatment options. Our solution is to provide in time a holistic approach which would increasing screening, imaging and histopathological diagnosis, surgery, radiotherapy and palliative care.
